Quand «Léo» publie sur la Calédonie et le parc de la mer de Corail

«Thank you New Caledonia for this gift to the planet», est-il apparu sur le compte Instagram de… Léonardo DiCaprio! Une publication apparue alors que le gouvernement calédonien a fait passer 28 000 km2 du parc de la mer de Corail en réserve, intégrale ou naturelle. Même si ce n'est pas «Léo» qui remercie la Nouvelle-Calédonie de faire un «cadeau à la planète»… L'acteur également célèbre pour son engagement en faveur de l'écologie a en fait relayé la publication d'Enric Sala. Lequel connaît nos récifs pristines pour avoir effectué une mission dans les eaux calédoniennes il y a cinq ans, au nom du National Geographic.

In these lush coral reefs around the remote islands and atolls of the Coral Sea, the fish have seen few divers, and it’s the sharks - blacktips, whitetips, silvertips, gray reefs, nurse sharks, and others - that preside over the reefs, alongside numerous green turtles that nest in the protected Entrecasteaux Islands. Thank you New Caledonia for this gift to the planet.
